Lung and Throat Tonic

Lung and Throat Tonic

We call this variation a “Bridge to Shoulderstand” and the benefits on the connective tissues are huge.

As you can see from the photo, much blood flows into the cervical region, bathing the shoulders, neck, jaw and jaw. Note how the bolster contours to the cervical spine, so that there is no hard pressure on the neck. This set up supports lymph drainage out of the inguinal region, gut, thorax and neck. Should you have had covid in your lungs, this set up helps clear residual adhesions and blockage. You can hold this pose for 3-5 minutes. Pull with your hands as shown should you feel undo pressure in your neck. The way the thyroid and adrenal glands are stimulated makes it a real tonic for lethargy and fatigue. When you exit, slide out and rest your pelvis to the bolster and your calves on the seat of the chair.
