The Diamond Sutra | January 23

In this class we investigate the profound and penetrating teachings of this classic Buddhist text dating to the fifth century. The Buddha together with his disciple Subhuti guide us how to cut through the mind of dualistic thinking. In this class we reflect on the Diamond Sutra’s teaching on impermanence, selflessness, non-grasping and boundless awareness. Through meditation, movement practice and discussion this class embodies essential themes from the Diamond Sutra.

The Mandukya Upanishad | February 20

In this class we explore the rich and powerful teachings from one of the oldest of yoga texts, the Mandukya Upanishad. This short text provides insight into the nature of OM, waking, dreaming and cultivating peace. We will see how consciousness is inseparable from OM and how the heart of this treatise lays the groundwork for later Buddhist teachings on non-grasping and emptiness. Through meditation, movement practice and discussion, this class embodies essential themes from the Mandukya Upanisad.

The Yoga of Delight, Wonder, and Astonishment Part I | March 20

The 7th century Tantric text the Vijnana Bhairava, is a medley of yogic meditations and reflections that shine light on the source of all becoming (Siva). In this course we evoke selected verses from this collection in order to perceive the animating vibrational power everywhere and in all things. Through meditation, movement practice and discussion, this class embodies essential themes from the Vijnana Bhairava.

  • Sundays, January 23, February 20, March 20, and April 24 | 9:30 – 11:30am Mountain Time

COST: $108 for the 4-class series, or $30 for individual class

**Please note ALL Live Zoom sessions and classes will be recorded should you be unable to attend any live streams. All recordings will be available for 30 days.


** Intro to Sacred Texts is good for 2 hours per class, or 8 hours for the series available for Continuing Education hours through Yoga Alliance.

** Intro to Sacred Texts can be applied towards the required hours for the Prajna Yoga 300/500-Hour Program.
