Daily schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm (45 hours)
The chakras evoke mystery, an artistic imagination and connection to the subtle body. For each of us, the chakras are energy centers full of feeling and connection. In this course you will identify the chakra that is strongest for you and the one that is most vulnerable. Discover the energetic character of each chakra from your tailbone and leading to the crown of your head. Learn the energetic and emotional vitality that pertains to each vital energy center. You will learn the muscular-skeletal, organic and neurological association with each chakra. Learn how the five elements of yoga (earth, water, fire, air and space) and the yogic “winds” pertain to each energy center. Discover how the dynamic force of the reptilian power of kundalini passes through the spine.
Tias includes an array of colorful images from the yogic tradition that show the energetic character of each chakra. In daily practice, we activate each of the vital energy channels through asana, sound resonance, visualization and meditation. Tias brings his background in Sanskrit, yoga philosophy, Indian Art and mystical anatomy and classical yoga to this unique course on the chakras.
